Matt Fetbrandt composes original music for theatre, dance, and interdisciplinary performance with a focus on emotionally driven storytelling. His work blends lyrical sensitivity with melodic precision, supporting performers and choreographers in crafting vivid, expressive worlds. From fully scored musicals to modern, interpretive movement pieces, Matt’s compositions are built to move — both physically and emotionally — and are shaped through deep collaboration with directors and artists across disciplines.

His current project is The Beggar’s Waltz. With a story and music influenced by classic musical theatre, infused with just the right amount of magical realism, The Beggar's Waltz is a new American musical on a grand scale about finding out what love is by chasing everything it's not.
